Beth Coyne is the Dean of Student Life and the Secondary School Placement Counselor at The Country School in Madison, Connecticut where she lives with her husband and two children. Both attend independent schools. She has been an educator since 1994, working as a classroom teacher in both public and private schools, library media specialist, student advisor, and school administrator. In her role as Secondary School Counselor Beth has traveled throughout New England to visit independent secondary schools and junior boarding schools, and has hosted admissions staff from independent schools around the country to learn more about their communities.
Beth also coordinates the CTP4 from ERB as well as the SSAT for The Country School. She has been instrumental in supporting teachers with differentiated instruction to help students reach their fullest potential. In 2012 Beth was invited to serve on the ERB Board and spoke at their Annual Conference in San Diego on how to use data with classroom teachers to plan for students who need scaffolding or stretching in the classroom.
Beth also works privately with families who desire support in moving through the secondary school process for their child. Her knowledge of the secondary school process and schools is an asset to families who are new to this process and need guidance along the way.
